StoryCorps OutLoud

StoryCorps OutLoud

Tell your story. Tell it proud.

StoryCorps Atlanta is working with local LGBTQ organizations to encourage everyone in the LGBTQ community to come tell their stories. Participants will have 40 minutes to record a conversation with a loved one. Each conversation is recorded on a free CD to share, and is preserved at the Library of Congress.

StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit project whose mission is to honor and celebrate one anothers lives through listening. Since 2003, over 50,000 everyday people have interviewed family and friends through StoryCorps. StoryCorps OutLoud is a project to record and preserve the voices of LGBTQ individuals across the nation. Sharing our stories honors the history, struggles, and character of our community, and preserving them in the Library of Congress will ensure all voices and experiences are celebrated and remembered for generations to come

Fourth Tuesday Dinner--How Much Better Can It Get?

Fourth Tuesday Dinner--How Much Better Can It Get?

Some 60 women turned out for the February Fourth Tuesday dinner last night.  The group met Carpe Diem in Decatur for its monthly dinner.  Attendees raved about the comfortable atmosphere and the good company of companionable women.  Carpe Diem donated a portion of the proceeds from the event to Fourth Tuesday.

The group, the social networking arm of the Atlanta Lesbian Health Initiative, started its latest dinner series in November. Fourth Tuesday offers several chapters across the region.

Join the fun during the March Fourth Tuesday dinner on March 23.  Look for additional details at the Atlanta Lesbian Health Initiative page on Facebook, or call 404-688-2524.
