Andria Towne is the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Georgia Int'l Convention Center (GICC). In this position, she is responsible for all advertising, promotion and public relations efforts for the GICC. She brings over 15 years of experience in nearly every facet of event marketing and production. She also has extensive experience in public relations and sponsorship marketing. Hailing originally from Denver, Colorado, Towne received her B.B.A. from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. While in Nashville, she was Vice President of Warner/TBA (a joint venture between Time/Warner and TBA Entertainment). During her time there, Towne co-produced several extremely successful event marketing initiatives including the Opening Ceremonies for the 1998 Goodwill Games, which won an Emmy for best Choreography, and Blockbuster Rockfest, a one-day rock festival that drew over 380,000 fans and was broadcast on MTV and VH-1. Towne moved to Atlanta in 1999, where she co-founded a startup entertainment marketing and production company, Q&A Entertainment. In 2003, she sold her share of the firm and joined Mad Booking & Events, as Director of Marketing & New Business Development, where she handled all marketing and promotion for the successful Atlanta concert series, On the Bricks, and acted as Event Director for Nashville's immensely successful Dancin' in the District concert series.
